How to Manually Eject a TS H943 DVD Drive



The Toshiba/Samsung TS H943 DVD drive is one of the three optical drives used in Xbox 360 gaming systems. As with most optical drive devices, there may come a time when you need to eject a disc and the eject button doesn't work. The Toshiba/Samsung TS H943 DVD drive has a manual eject device that you can use to open the disc tray even when the Xbox 360 is unplugged.


Instructions

Disconnect the power supply from the back of the Xbox 360.

Straighten out a paper clip.

Insert one end of the paper clip approximately one-half inch into the small hole located just below the second "X" in "XBOX" on the disc tray cover. When you begin to feel resistance against the tip of the paper clip, it means you have made contact with the manual release lever. Push the paper clip further in until the disc tray lock disengages. The tray will open slightly.

Grasp the edge of the disc tray and pull it out. Remove the disc from the tray and push the tray back in all the way. This re-engages the disc tray lock.
