How to Install an External DVD Multi-Recorder

Using a DVD Multi-Recorder Drive has its advantages. You can burn videos in various formats, such as DVD-RW, CD-R and CD-RW. As a result, you don't have to worry about incompatibilities. One of the reasons why people like DVD Multi-Recorder drives is because it has a lot of storage capacity. You can record up to approximately 4.7 gigabytes of data on just one disc. Although the name sounds intimidating, installing an external DVD Multi-Recorder drive is straightforward.



Instructions

Place your external DVD Multi-Recorder drive in the stand. Otherwise, lay it down horizontally if you're not going to be using the stand.

Turn on your computer.

Plug one end of the USB cable into one of the computer's USB ports. Then connect the other end into the external DVD Multi-Recorder drive.

Plug the power cord into the AC adapter. Then connect the cord into the drive's jack. Connect the other end into the power outlet.

Insert the DVD Multi-Recorder drive's software into the drive. Install the software.

Once the software has been installed, if you're using Windows, you should see the drive's icon on the task bar. You should now be able to use the drive.



Tips & Warnings
Try to keep your drive in a consistent temperature environment. Optical drives are susceptible to condensation.
