How to Connect a Second Receiver to a Dreambox

Dreambox is a series of satellite and cable TV receivers that use Linux-based computer systems. Manufactured in Germany by Dream Multimedia, the Dreambox is equipped with jacks for connecting different types of audio-video components. You can connect a second receiver, depending on the model and age of the unit, with either a coaxial cable for older receivers or an HDMI (high definition media interface) cable for newer, digital components.

Instructions
Shut off the Dreambox by pressing the "Power" button on the front of the unit or using the remote control. Turn off the power to the receiver as well.

Push in the plug on one end of an HDMI cable to the port labeled "HDMI" on the back of the Dreambox or twist the metal ring on the end of a coaxial cable clockwise to the threaded output labeled "RF OUT."

Attach the other end of the cable to the corresponding input port, either "HDMI" or "RF IN," on the rear of the receiver. This completes the cable connection.

Dial the receiver's input knob on the front of the unit, typically on the right side, to the name of the port that connects it to the Dreambox. For example, set the input knob on the receiver so the LCD display on the receiver reads "HDMI" or "Coax," depending on which connection is used on the receiver
