How To Load CCcam.cfg Card Sharing in Dreambox Decoder Using FTP Method
Previuosly we mentioned about a simple way to load CCcam cfg file into Dreambox decoder suitable for newbies using CCCam cfg editor, but if you don’t want to use this utility and would like to explore further, here is another simple way that you can try.
Below are the simple steps that you should follow:
1.Connect both of your computer and Dreambox decoder to a switch/bridge using Ethernet cable.
2.From the remote control, go to Menu -> Setup -> Expert Setup -> Communication Setup. Read the IP address of your decoder from the TV screen (assuming that you already have the composite video output cable connected from decoder to TV).
3.Then go to TV computer screen, open an Internet Explorer, type in ftp://192.168.0.x (IP address read from step ii).
4.When prompted for username and password, type ‘root’ and ‘dreambox’ respectively to access into Dreambox.
5.From here, you will notice a folder view and browse into ‘var’ and followed by ‘etc’ subfolder, look for CCcam.cfg file.
6.Replace it with the CCcam.cfg file gotten from your service provider, reboot the system and you are done.
By now, you should be able to activate the card sharing and view your favorite encrypted channels from the sky as long as your dish is positioned correctly.

If you are owning Dreambox satellite decoder and are using it to receive multiple channels from different countries with multi-languages selection, you may be annoyed with the random audio settings for certain or all channels which you are not familiar with. If you would like to figure out the way on how to configure it to use certain language as its default setting, here is a simple tip that you can follow.
Since the setting cannot be accessed using remote control, users will need to access Dreambox Enigma web interface on PC screen for configuration by following below steps:
1.Connect both PC and Dreambox using Ethernet cable.
2.On the Dreambox remote control, go to Menu -> Setup -> Expert Setup -> Communication Setup and read the IP address of the Dreambox. The IP address will be used on next step.
3.On the PC screen, launch Internet Explorer and key in the IP address in the address field. For instance: Type http://192.168.1.5 (following IP address shown in Step ii).
4.Once prompted by password, enter ‘Root’ as User Name and ‘Dreambox’ as Password to access the Dreambox.
5.On the main menu, go to ‘CONFIG’, then browse to ‘Audio Channel Priority’ and under its field, users can specify the audio channels’ priority here. For instances, put in English#audio 1 and the specified audio channel will be selected with highest priority whenever the system restart).
6.Click ‘Save’ and reboot the system using remote control and you are done.

Dreambox DM500s is one of the famous Linux based decoders that can be used to decode satellite signals from the sky. And if for any reason you would like to reflash your Receiver DM500s either due to software instability, unable to access the setting due to password locked or simply want to get a newer version of firmware, here is a simple step that you can follow to get it done.
For the start, make sure you have Ethernet cable connecting between your PC and DM500s. Then, go to access the Menu option on your decoder. Enter Menu, followed by Setup -> Expert Setup -> Factory Reset and click ‘Yes’ will reboot the system. After rebooted, again go to Menu-> Setup -> Expert Setup -> Communication Setup. This will read and display the Dreambox IP Address that you will be using it when trying to flash the decoder later.
On your PC, launch FlashWizard Pro (assuming that you have download it and save in local PC), a powerful firmware installer that can be used to reflash any Dreambox systems. For the start, go to ‘Configuration and Utilities’, key in the IP address of the Dreambox with default Login and Password as ‘root’ and ‘dreambox’. After that, click on ‘Install a firmware into FLASH memory’ button will open another new interface and over here, users can browse for the firmware file (.fw2 format) by opening the yellow folder button and double clicking on the firmware file and click yes will load and flash the new firmware into it.
It may take few seconds to minute for the flashing process and once a successful message is pop up, just reboot the DM500s for it to be effective.
